In their preseason finale, the Boston Celtics took a dominant 127-99 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Neemias Queta registered 12 points and seven rebounds over 13 minutes.

During his other preseason appearances, Queta logged a combined 17 points and seven rebounds over 22 minutes. At his post-game media availability, Joe Mazzulla praised the Portuguese-born center for his growth throughout October.

“He’s gotten better and better every day since he’s been with us,” said Mazzulla. “And just his ability to pick up on our defensive schemes, for a guy like him is the most important thing. And so I thought he saw great strides in what we’re asking him to do defensively."

In addition to Queta’s defensive abilities, Mazzulla complimented the 24-year-old’s performance on offense.

“And the ability to play in the offensive end is huge, and to think, to pass, to screen, to maneuver, and so, I really like his growth, and our staff has done a great job developing him since he’s been here.”

The Celtics commence their regular season on Wednesday, October 25th, against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
