Wednesday night at the Golden 1 Center, the Boston Celtics earned a bounce-back victory, washing away the sour taste of Tuesday's stinging 132-126 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Wins are not created equal, and earning one against the Sacramento Kings doesn't carry the same weight as knocking off the team that beat Boston in the 2022 NBA Finals.

But blowing out the Kings on the second night of a back-to-back, without Jayson Tatum and Al Horford, is an impressive reminder of this team's ability to prevent one loss from snowballing into a problematic string of performances.

The Celtics had five players score at least 20 points, limited the hosts to six made threes in the middle two quarters, and, despite Sacramento's high-octane offense, outscored them 30-6 on the fast break in their 144-119 win.

They got back to their brand of basketball, with defense setting the table for their success and maintaining an up-tempo approach that kept everyone involved in the offense.

After the victory, Kristaps Porzingis, who finished with 24 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks, shared his assessment of Boston's offensive approach with NBATV's Dennis Scott.

"We were mixing it up a little more," stated the seven-foot-three center. "We weren't just shooting threes. We were getting the ball in and then kicking out for threes. Or whoever was overhelping or double-teaming, we were trying to hit the open guy, get open looks, and sooner or later, they're gonna fall, like tonight they were falling."

Porzingis also said of the Celtics' success, boasting a 21-6 record, tops in the NBA, "We take pride that we want to keep this going. We want to keep evolving as a team. And keep representing the Celtics the right way."
