Paul Pierce Compares Rising Star to Gilbert Arenas

The Philadelphia 76ers currently hold the best record in the Eastern Conference. Tyrese Maxey, one of the NBA’s rising stars, is a key contributor to the 76ers’ success.
This season, Maxey is averaging 28.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists over 37.9 minutes. The 6-foot-2 guard scored a career-high 50 points on Sunday night.
In a recent post on X, Paul Pierce wrote the following:
“[Tyrese] Maxey on the Philadelphia 76ers remind me a lot of Gilbert Arenas what y’all think.”
Gilbert Arenas earned three All-NBA selections during his tenure with the Washington Wizards. He was nicknamed ‘Agent Zero’ due to his late-game shooting skills and jersey number.
The Boston Celtics’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 15, against the 76ers at Wells Fargo Center; tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. EST.
