Friday night at TD Garden, the Boston Celtics, an NBA-best 39-12, host the Washington Wizards. At 9-41, only the Detroit Pistons are below them in the NBA standings.

Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer, Boston's roster additions before Thursday's trade deadline passed, are inactive for the contest. The former is out due to left knee soreness. The hosts list the latter as unavailable because of a right ankle impingement.

Regarding Tillman, he conveyed Friday morning at the Auerbach Center that there is no timeline for him to make his Celtics debut. He missed the Memphis Grizzlies' last four games before joining the C's.

But Boston will have Jayson Tatum in the lineup against the Wizards. The five-time All-Star was initially questionable for this tilt due to a non-Covid illness.

Friday's matchup against Washington will tip off at 7:30 p.m. EST. Inside The Celtics will have content related to the game before, during, and afterward. Follow @BobbyKrivitsky on Twitter for updates and analysis from pregame to post.
