The Latest on Kristaps Porzingis' Status for Celtics-Warriors Game
The Boston Celtics' four-game West Coast trip starts Tuesday with a 2022 NBA Finals rematch against the Golden State Warriors.
Both teams are down a front-court starter, with Draymond Green serving a suspension expected to sideline him for at least the next three weeks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
As for the visitors, Boston's without Kristaps Porzingis due to left calf strain injury management. The seven-foot-three center recently missed four consecutive matchups after suffering the strain in a Black Friday loss to the Orlando Magic.
After last Sunday's 114-97 victory over that same opponent, completing a two-tilt mini-series sweep and capping a 5-0 homestand, something the C's haven't done in a stretch of at least that many contests at TD Garden since 2016, Porzingis discussed his availability for this back-to-back that takes the Celtics from San Francisco on Tuesday to a showdown with the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday.
The former All-Star conveyed he had just started speaking with the training staff about his availability for both games. "We don't have the answer yet. But they know my stance: I want to play in every game (that) they allow me (to). But of course, they want to be smart with me and my health. Make sure I'm here for the long picture."

Speaking of the team's center rotation, Luke Kornet (left adductor strain) remains sidelined.
Head coach Joe Mazzulla said before Boston's 128-111 win against Orlando last Friday that Kornet told him he expects to be out for about a week.
