The Boston Celtics improved to 2-0 with a 119-111 win over the Miami Heat in their home opener Friday night.

Now, they're back on the road and in the nation's capital for a showdown with Jordan Poole, Kyle Kuzma, and the Washington Wizards.

Washington bounced back from a 143-120 loss to the Indiana Pacers with a 113-106 victory against Marcus Smart and the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

Corey Kispert generated 22 points in the first half before going scoreless in the final two frames, but with Poole producing a game-high 27 and Kuzma contributing 21, they kept the Ja Morant-less Grizzlies winless.

But now the Wizards host a Celtics team that's at full strength and coming off victories over the New York Knicks and the Heat, where they were at their best in the fourth quarter.

Still, if Boston takes Kristaps Porzingis' former team lightly, it leaves itself vulnerable for a big night from Poole, among other scoring threats. That makes Monday's matchup, which tips off at 7:00 p.m. EST, a good test of the Celtics' ability to not play down to their competition.
