Wyc Grousbeck Beams About Celtics’ Team Chemistry
Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck recently described the impressive nature of the season his team is having.
The Celtics now have the 11th best point differential in NBA history, just behind Boston's 2008 championship team. They also have a top-10 Net rating of all time and were recently marked as having the best offensive rating of all time.
In an interview with WCVB's Duke Castiglione, during which Grousbeck also conveyed that his team's inconsistencies signaled they needed to change, he proudly discussed the quickly cultivated chemistry formed by this new iteration of the Celtics.
"It's unbelievable," said the Celtics owner. "How great they've been, and how great everybody has, everybody has raised their game, and they've all knit together. It's really a great team to watch."
Boston has won nine consecutive games, looking to make it 10 on Friday night at TD Garden against the Dallas Mavericks.
"When you're winning, it's easier to all get along," Grousbeck said. "It gets a little tougher, probably, if you're losing a bunch of games. But success is creating more success here, is creating more of a brotherhood. But it's been that way since the beginning of the year. Jrue Holiday comes in, (Kristaps) Porzingis comes in, hasn't stopped smiling since he got here... There's a lot to like about the team. We're just getting started. We haven't accomplished anything yet. But it's a great team to watch."
