According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Boston Celtics are planning to sign Justin Champagnie -- pronounced "Sham-Penny."

Champagnie started his professional career with the Toronto Raptors in 2021. The 6-foot-6 forward, who's best on-court abilities are at the defensive end of the floor, averaged 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game during his two seasons in Toronto. The Raptors waived him in December.

This January, the former Pittsburgh Panther got signed by the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat’s G-League affiliate. The 21-year-old averaged 18.1 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Skyforce.

Champagnie will fill the final spot on the Celtics’ roster.
