Boston Fans Will Absolutely Love What Jaylen Brown Said Before Celtics-Mavericks Tilt

The Celtics may be back on track after Thursday's win

The Boston Celtics earned one of their most impressive wins of the season Thursday night.

The Celtics hit the road to take on the red-hot Dallas Mavericks after losing two straight -- including a 150-117 beatdown at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder -- and five of their last nine games and came away with a huge 124-95 blowout win.

Dallas entered the tilt winners of each of its last seven games with league Most Valuable Player hopeful Luka Doncic playing arguably his best basketball of his career, but the Celtics were able to slow him down and ultimately come out on top.

Doncic was held to his lowest point total (23) since Dec. 19 and his lowest assist total of the entire season with just three thanks in large part to the defense of Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart.

After the game, the team released a clip from the locker room and Smart had only positive things to say about Brown's performance

"J.B., I just want to give a major shoutout to J.B.," Smart said. "He came out and told me that he was going to guard Doncic and pick him up. He got in early foul trouble but was able to keep his head and his energy helped me get going so I really appreciate that."

Although the Celtics have been in somewhat of a cold stretch lately, if they play the way did Thursday, they can take down anyone on any night.
