In the first half of the Celtics' 112-99 win over the Hawks in the series opener, the laceration in Jaylen Brown's right hand split open, requiring a trip to the locker room.

That didn't stop the two-time All-Star from leading all scorers with 29 points in Game 1, producing 18 in the paint, the most of all participants.

Post-game, Brown conveyed about the laceration in his strong hand, which he said he cut picking up a glass vase he knocked over watering his plants, "It's a constant adjustment, making sure I get a good grip on the ball."

The Georgia native, who went 12/23 from the field (52.2 percent) but 2/6 (33.3 percent) from beyond the arc and 3/10 outside the paint, later expressed about the cut in his shooting hand and the padding he has on it, "Especially with the adrenaline during the game, you kind of just get it going," adding, "There were times throughout the game that I had to readjust it and stuff like that. There's a lot of padding on it, so it's a different feel shooting the ball. Just adjusting and adapting to the game, that's it."

But Monday at the Auerbach Center, before detailing what the defending Eastern Conference champions are focusing on entering Game 2, head coach Joe Mazzulla said Brown had "no restrictions" at practice.

Fortunately for Boston, Brown got through practice with his hand feeling well enough to keep him off the injury report.

The only player on there for the Celtics is Danilo Gallinari, who hasn't played all season due to a torn ACL, meaning the hosts are poised to enter Tuesday's tilt at full strength.
