Here are Three Interesting Prop Bets to Consider Ahead of Monday's Celtics-Knicks Tilt
The Boston Celtics are back in action on the road Monday night.
Boston will take on the Atlantic Division rival New York Knicks on Monday night at Madison Square Garden with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Celtics enter the showdown looking to earn their fourth straight win after taking down the Philadelphia 76ers in impressive fashion on Saturday night. Boston came from behind to down its bitter rivals with young star Jayson Tatum nailing the game-winning three-pointer with under two seconds remaining to earn the win.
The sixth-seeded Knicks enter the showdown on a hot streak of their own and are looking to win their sixth straight game. New York is 8-2 overall in its last 10 games and last played Saturday as well as it blew out the New Orleans Pelicans, 128-106.
Here are three interesting prop bets to consider from Sports Illustrated Sportsbook ahead of Monday's Celtics-Knicks matchup:
Jayson Tatum Over 31.5 Points Scored (-120)
Boston's brightest star may not have had his highest scoring output Saturday night, but he did still find a way to impact winning. Tatum finished with only 18 points against the 76ers but it isn't likely that he'll have back-to-back low-scoring affairs.
If you were to place a $120 wager down and Tatum is able to score 32 points or more, the payout would be $100.
RJ Barrett Over 17.5 Points Scored (-120)
The young Knicks star has developed into an extremely capable scorer himself. Barrett is averaging 19.7 points per game so far this season and it wouldn't surprise at all to see him score at least 18 on Monday night.
Barrett enters the tilt after scoring 18 or more in three of his last six games and notching 17 in one another. If you were to place a $120 wager down and Barrett scores 18 or more Monday night, the payout would be $100.
Marcus Smart Over 5.5 Assists (+100)
Smart has failed to top six assists each of the Celtics' last two games but notched six in his first game back from injury last week. The Boston point guard is averaging seven assists per game and with a little more time under his belt after returning from injury should be ready to go Monday night.
Monday's tilt should be a high-scoring affair and it wouldn't be surprising at all if Smart could reach his season average. If you were to place a $100 wager down and Smart dishes out at least six assists, the payout would be $100.
