Here are Three Interesting Prop Bets to Consider Ahead of Wednesday's Celtics-Timberwolves Tilt
The Boston Celtics are back in action Wednesday night.
Boston will hit the road to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center with tip-off scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
The Celtics enter the showdown looking to get back on track after suffering one of their most disappointing losses of the season Monday night against the lowly Houston Rockets, 111-109. Although the final score was close, it isn't necessarily an accurate representation of the loss. Houston led the way for the majority of the contest and seemed to be in full control. Boston fought back late, but even then the Rockets still were able to win their 16th game of the season.
Minnesota also is looking to get back on track. The Timberwolves won their last contest, but have dropped two of their last three games heading into Wednesday's matchup.
Here are three interesting prop bets from Sports Illustrated Sportsbook ahead of Wednesday's Celtics-Timberwolves matchup:
Jayson Tatum Over 28.5 Points Scored (-125)
The young Boston star struggled in the team's disappointing loss to the Rockets but should be able to get back on track. Tatum scored 22 points against Houston and was inefficient finishing the night 8-of-22 from the field.
Tatum is averaging 30.3 points per game and should be able to bounce back. He has scored over 28 points in three of his last four games. If you were to place a $125 wager down and Tatum scores 29 or more points Wednesday, the payout would be $100.
Marcus Smart Under 11.5 Points Scored (-118)
Smart has been impressive for Boston so far this season, but his scoring has taken a step back in recent games. The Boston point guard has failed to score over 11 points in each of his last four games.
While it is certainly possible for him to break out of his slump, if you were to place a $118 wager down on Smart to score less than 12 points and he does so, the payout would be $100.
Derrick White Under 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)
White has been one of the most impressive players for Boston over the last few months, but he hasn't been stuffing the stat sheet as much lately. The Boston guard has failed to top 22.5 points, rebounds, and assists in three of his last five games.
If the trend were to continue Wednesday night and you were to place a $125 wager down, the payout would be $100.
