Brown, 26, has played seven seasons in the NBA, all as a member of the storied Celtics franchise. He is fresh off the best season of his pro career, as he averaged a career-high 26.6 points per game to go along with 6.9 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals during the 2022-23 regular season and was named to the All-NBA Second Team.

Brown carried over his excellent play from the 2022-23 regular season into the 2023 postseason. The former University of California star scored 22.7 points per game while shooting 49.6 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from behind the three-point arc in 20 playoff games.

Following the end of Boston's 2023 playoff run, the Celtics rewarded Brown with a historically lucrative five-year, $304 million veteran supermax extension.

The fact that the Celtics offered Brown a veteran supermax extension and the richest deal in NBA history is an indication that they want him around for the long haul. And this deal projects to age well for the Celtics both on and off the court, as not only is Brown one of the best wings in the NBA today, but he has also proven himself to be a charitable individual and terrific role model.
