In his first game in Philadelphia since being traded to the LA Clippers, James Harden was booed by 76ers fans. This was to be expected, which is what Harden shared with reporters after the game.

"I expected it," Harden said. "I don’t really know what it’s about, but I expected it. So, it is what it is. I don’t know why they were booing."

While Harden heard a lot of boos, he also had a lot of fans in the building as well. When asked about this, Harden said, "I think I did a lot. I also had a very impactful, positive impact on a lot of people while I was here, a year and a half. I’m grateful for those relationships, I’m grateful for the opportunity and things like that. Those things that I can cherish and move on with. Everything else doesn’t matter."

Clippers star Paul George experiences a similar reception whenever he plays in Indiana, so he understood what Harden was dealing with. Wanting to support his teammate, George told reporters after the game that the Clippers had Harden's back.

"It was one versus 20,000," George said. "We got his back. We got to be a support system, and we got to pick him up and lift him. And I thought we did that, we were there for him. And try to make it as easy as possible for him to kind of drown out the noise."

In the end, the Clippers got the win, which is what matters most.
