The LA Clippers are facing the Houston Rockets on Sunday afternoon in their regular season finale, and Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out with right knee inflammation. Leonard will be missing his 8th-straight game, and if he is good to go for Game 1 of the playoffs, will have been out nearly three weeks.

Clippers head coach Ty Lue was asked prior to Sunday's game if Leonard has been working out, and said he has been doing, "Something."

Lue would not say whether or not Leonard would be available for the beginning of the playoffs, which begin on April 20th. The Clippers will host the Dallas Mavericks for the first two games of the opening round, having clinched the 4th seed in the Western Conference.

The health of Leonard is LA's key to any deep postseason run, so his status will be one to watch closely. The Clippers will practice regularly before the start of the playoffs, and Leonard's participation in those practices will also be something to monitor.

There is nothing at stake for the Clippers in this season finale, as their seed has been clinched. There is also nothing at stake for Houston, who was eliminated from postseason contention several games ago.

With their sights set on the playoffs, the Clippers hope to have Leonard available when they host Dallas for Game 1.
