The LA Clippers are set to face the Utah Jazz on Friday evening in their second to last regular season game. The Clippers have released their injury report for this game, and Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out with right knee inflammation for the seventh-straight game.

While Clippers head coach Ty Lue told reporters prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Phoenix Suns that there is no level of concern right now that Leonard’s absence will extend into the playoffs, it seems likely that his regular season is done.

The Clippers will play one more regular season game after this one, and it will come on Sunday afternoon against the Houston Rockets. Leonard making a return for the season finale, which as previously mentioned is an afternoon game, feels unlikely.

Lue refused to answer a question about whether or not Leonard has received an MRI on his right knee, but has reiterated several times that he is not concerned about the star forward. The Clippers understand that their championship hopes ride on the health of Leonard, so it makes sense for them to be cautious with him. That said, the lack of any official updates from the team does create a level of uncertainty.

The Clippers clinch the fourth seed with one more victory, and they will look to get it on Friday night against this shorthanded Jazz team.
