Kawhi Leonard's Injury Status for LA Clippers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
The LA Clippers have released their injury report for Sunday afternoon's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out with right knee inflammation. Leonard has been dealing with this right knee issue for a few games now, and this will be his 4th-straight game missed.
There doesn't seem to be any level of concern with Leonard's injury from those around the team, as head coach Ty Lue told reporters before Sunday's game that he is not concerned about his star forward's knee issue. While Leonard is dealing with some inflammation in his right knee, this is not something that is expected to keep him out for the remainder of the regular season.
The Clippers will be up against a Cavaliers team on Sunday that is also shorthanded, as Donovan Mitchell has been ruled out with left knee injury management. This game has playoff implications for LA, as the Clippers clinch a top-six seed with a win and a New Orleans Pelicans loss. For Cleveland, they enter this game a half-game better than the 4th and 5th seed New York Knicks and Orlando Magic.
There will be a lot to watch for in this game, because with stars missing on both sides, other players will have to step up. For the Clippers, they are without Leonard, and Cleveland is without Mitchell.
