Russell Westbrook's MVP season with the OKC Thunder is one of the most historic seasons in NBA history. Averaging 31.6 PPG, 10.7 RPG, and 10.4 RPG, Westbrook joined Oscar Robertson as the only player in NBA history to average a 30-point triple-double for an entire season.

Carrying a very poor roster the 6th seed, Westbrook led Oklahoma City to the postseason after Kevin Durant left for the Golden State Warriors in free agency, and did so in historic fashion.

During a recent episode of The OGs Show, three-time NBA champion Udonis Haslem said that despite what people say, Westbrook was the best player in the world at his peak.

"People talk, and they get into their feelings, and they say what they want to say about Russ. At one point, this man was the best in the world," Halsem said. "You say what you want to say, all hell was coming when you had to play against Russ."

John Wall was also on this podcast episode, and talked about how difficult it was defending Westbrook, since he would come downhill at full speed and could stop for a midrange of continue driving to the basket.

As Haslem mentioned, there are a lot of negative narratives that get pushed about Westbrook, but his peak was truly unlike anything else in NBA history.
