Anthony Davis' Injury Status for Clippers vs Lakers Revealed
The LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers face off for the fourth and final time this season, and the Lakers have officially listed Anthony Davis' injury status.
Anthony Davis has been officially listed as probable against the LA Clippers with bilateral Achilles tendinopathy. It's worth noting that Davis has been listed with the same injury for the majority of the season, and he's played in almost every single game for the Lakers this season. With that in mind, every NBA fan should expect Anthony Davis to play against the LA Clippers, unless some kind of new injury pops up.
Against the Clippers, Anthony Davis has been a monster this season. In three games, he's averaging 25 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 blocks, and 1.3 steals on 60% shooting from the field. Those numbers are relatively on par with his dominant regular season averages, but he's shooting roughly 5% higher from the field against the Clippers.
If the Lakers want to have any chance of defeating the Clippers tonight, they'll need Anthony Davis to play more than any other player on the court. The LA Clippers have had an inability to crash the boards recently, and their lackluster play is going to give Davis a field day on the offensive rebounds. The last time he faced the Clippers in January, Davis put up 26 points and 12 rebounds.
The LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers face off at 10:00 p.m. EST tonight.
