BREAKING: Clippers, Celtics, and Wizards Discussing Major Trade /

It was reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic that the LA Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Washington Wizards are working through a three-team trade that sends Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics, Malcom Brogdon to the Clippers, and Marcus Morris to the Wizards.

This is a massive trade, as the Wizards are expected to receive draft compensation, the Clippers get the 6th Man of the Year in exchange for Morris, and the Celtics get another star alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The deal has not yet been finalized, and the official draft compensation heading to Washington has not been revealed, but this seems like a good deal for all sides. The Celtics adding Porzingis makes them even more lethal an an Eastern Conference they were one game away from winning, the Clippers turning Morris in to Brogdon is massive, and the Wizards getting off the Porzingis contract for picks is also a win.

For the Clippers, this feels like the first of at least a few more moves. They now have a lot to sort through with their guard rotation, which now seems overcrowded. Eric Gordon's expiring deal feels like one that could be included in another trade soon, because with the addition of Brogdon, there are only so many minutes to go around between LA's collection of guards.

This will be a story to follow.
