In a breaking news report, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski revealed that the three-team trade between the LA Clippers, Boston Celtics, and Washington Wizards had fallen apart. The trade was set to send Kristaps Porzingis to the Boston Celtics, Malcolm Brogdon to the LA Clippers, and Marcus Morris, Amir Coffey, and LA's 30th overall pick to the Washington Wizards.

This is a massive development, as Wojnarowski is reporting that a deal is no longer in place. It will be very interesting to see if the players involved in the deal end up elsewhere, because it seems likely that the teams involved still intend to make moves that could involve the players who were initially supposed to be dealt in this trade.

It's not often that trades like these fall through after being so close to the finish line, but that's exactly what has happened. In a follow-up Tweet, Wojnarowski reported the following:

"The Wizards are still working on ways to get Kristaps Porzingis to the Celtics in an opt-in and trade scenario, but it won't be in a three-way with the Clippers, sources tell ESPN. Porzingis still has the ability to decline his $36 million player option and become a free agent."

This will undoubtedly be a story to follow, as it now seems as if the Clippers will be the team no longer moving forward with this deal, as Washington looks for ways to still send Porzingis to Boston.
