During a recent episode of The Lowe Post, ESPN analyst and insider Zach Lowe revealed that the LA Clippers were interested in Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam at last season's trade deadline. Trade rumors surrounding Siakam have heated up again this offseason, but Lowe doesn't believe the Clippers have much to offer.

This is the Clippers' biggest issue when it comes to pursuing a trade for any star level player. LA's possible trade packages are severely underwhelming when compared to what other teams around the league have to offer, as they don't have a rising young star, nor do they have many highly coveted future draft choices. For this reason, a Siakam trade feels unlikely.

If the Clippers were to attempt a Siakam trade, it would likely have to start with Terance Mann, who the team has reportedly been reluctant to include in any James Harden trade. Mann is LA's most valuable trade asset who is not making max money, but his importance to the Clippers likely outweighs what he could bring back on the trade market.

The Raptors have not given any clear indication that they intend to move Siakam and some of their other pieces, but many around the league feel it's time for them to move on from this era. Stuck in mediocrity, this Raptors group is not going to contend next season.
