Clippers' Newest Player Breaks Silence on Trade
The LA Clippers haven't made too many splashes this off-season, but one big move they did make was trading for Rockets' forward KJ Martin. Very few expected the Clippers to acquire Martin in the shocking move, and he's yet to have a media session regarding it. Martin finally broke his silence about the trade via Instagram.
Here is the exact caption Martin provided when speaking about the trade from Houston to LA:
"H-TOWNN‼️ I want to thank the Fertitta Family and Rafael Stone for taking a chance on my 3 years ago and giving me a opportunity to be a NBA player. I want to thank Coach Silas and the staff I’ve had the past 3 years for coaching me. Thank you to all my weights coaches, trainers, media and film crew and equipment managers. Through the up and downs the past 3 years I had a blast putting on for the city of Houston I gave it my all every game! To my teammates you know how we rock I appreciate y’all for helping me become a better player each and everyday. Y’all continue to go out there a ball out.✌🏽Houston till next time y’all always gonna have a place in my heart. Now on the the next chapter of my life I’m extremely excited to go back home and put on for LA let’s get it Go Clips❤️💙"
Martin only spent three seasons with the Houston Rockets, most recently averaging 12.7 points and 5.5 rebounds on 57/32/68 shooting. He will provide the Clippers with some much-needed athleticism that the team has been desperately missing.
