Kawhi Leonard and Paul George's Shocking Injury Status vs Bucks
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have not both missed a game this season for the Clippers, until now. Unfortunately, the exciting matchup of the LA Clippers vs the Milwaukee Bucks will be hijacked by horrible scheduling.
Kawhi Leonard has been officially listed as out with left groin soreness, and Paul George has been listed as out with left knee soreness.
In all honesty, both players being out has less to do with the fact that they're injured, and more to do with the fact that the Clippers are being forced to play a back-to-back with only 22 hours between tipoffs. It's something that Clippers announce Brian Sieman says is a disgrace and against league protocol.
"Whoever made that schedule possible should be ashamed of themselves," Sieman said. "It's a 22-hour turnover for the Clippers, day games on a back-to-back are difficult, period. Whether they're in December or January. They give the Clippers a back-to-back day game situation, the day of Daylight Savings time, and then they bump the game up an hour. 22 hours between tipoff, which goes against NBA protocol. A shameful scheduling situation and those responsible should be embarrassed."
It's incredibly unfortunate that both times the Clippers faced off against the Milwaukee Bucks were hampered by back-to-backs, but this one in particular is incredibly atrocious. Hopefully, moments like this won't happen anymore once the Clippers move into their new Intuit Dome arena.
