Kawhi Leonard and Paul George's Updated Injury Status vs Timberwolves
The LA Clippers face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in what could be the most important game of the season for both teams. Both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were listed on the injury report as questionable, but have since been upgraded to available.
Kawhi Leonard was officially listed as questionable with left groin soreness, and Paul George was listed as questionable with left knee soreness. Both players missed the last game against the Milwaukee Bucks with the injury. They were also listed as questionable against the Chicago Bulls, but they played that game.
In three games against the Timberwolves this season, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 25.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists on 47/40/93 shooting. Paul George averaged 16.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on 29/28/91 shooting. If the Clippers want to have any chance of beating the Timberwolves, Paul George will need to play better. Especially, with the fact that Kawhi Leonard will likely get doubled on every single possession.
The stakes are incredibly high for both the Clippers and Timberwolves tonight, but it's higher for the Clippers. If LA wins tonight, they'll be one game away from the 3rd seed and be tied 2-2 for the tiebreaker status. If the Clippers lose tonight, they'll be three games away from the 3rd seed, four games away from the 1st seed, and will not have any claim to the tiebreaker.
The LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves face off at 10:00 p.m. EST tonight.
