Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers have been playing great basketball this season, and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant gave them some big props at NBA All-Star media day.

When asked who is the best team and best player in the NBA right now outside of the Phoenix Suns, Durant said, "Every night my best players, my top-5, my GOATs, I feel like every week they change... Clippers are playing great ball. If anything I’ll probably say Clippers and give it to Kawhi as the best player I've seen."

Durant faced the Clippers in the opening round of last year's playoffs, but did not have to deal with Leonard after Game 2, as he missed the rest of that series due to a meniscus tear. With a lot of respect for Leonard and the Clippers, Durant believes they are the best in basketball right now outside of Phoenix.

With the Western Conference standings shifting daily, there is certainly a chance the Clippers and Suns see each other again in the opening round of the playoffs this season. The Clippers are currently the 3rd seed in the Western Conference, and the Suns are tied for 5th, which puts a first round matchup between LA and Phoenix very much on the table.

This was a big statement from Durant that showed how good the Clippers have been.
