It was recently reported by Andrew Greif of the LA Times that LA Clippers forward Marcus Morris "has made known within league circles his displeasure about his abrupt role change late last season and the team's sparse communication with him around it."

Morris was removed from LA's starting lineup late last season, before reentering the starting group midway through the first round of the playoffs. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Morris slammed this report, saying, "You don't last 13 years [in the NBA] without knowing your [role]."

Morris was a solid role player for the Clippers during his first two seasons with the team, but really regressed last season. Clippers head coach Ty Lue stuck with Morris in the starting lineup longer than many expected him to, finally making the change to Nicolas Batum late in the season.

When Batum struggled in the first round of the playoffs, Lue went back to Morris, who was still unable to find much success after an extended stretch on the bench. It's been widely reported that the Clippers could use the expiring deals of players like Morris, Batum, Eric Gordon, and Robert Covington in a potential trade for Chris Paul, which will be something to follow.

As for right now, Morris is denying the report that he grew unhappy with his role last season.
