Making an appearance on Undisputed with Skip Bayless, rap legend Lil Wayne shared his take on James Harden's trade request from the Philadelphia 76ers to the LA Clippers.

"[The Clippers] should want [James Harden]," Wayne said. "When he's motivated, I believe those players on that team, that's his motivation, that's the type of players he loves to be around. That's the type of people he likes to play with. If that's where he wants to be, you get him where he wanna be - he gonna play."

With Harden, motivation has been a major story the last several seasons. The "honeymoon phase" with him is something that has been well documented, as his first several weeks or even months with a new team seem to always be his best. While this is the level Harden is still capable of playing at, that motivation can dwindle as he becomes unhappy, which has resulted directly in his play also dropping off at times.

What Wayne is arguing, is that the Clippers have the players Harden likes to play with, and if that's the team he wants to be on, then his level of play should be at its best. For that reason, Wayne believes the Clippers should make the trade, since they would be acquiring the best version Harden can be at this point in his career.
