The Phoenix Suns made a blockbuster move to acquire Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets late on Wednesday night, and it included Mikal Bridges. The versatile forward will be headed to Brooklyn in the deal, and shared his immediate reaction on Twitter when the news dropped:

Bridges was a key piece to what the Phoenix Suns had built over the last few seasons, but will obviously have to understand why he was included in this deal for Kevin Durant. Many felt that Durant would not be available after Kyrie Irving was traded, as the Nets indicated they were going to re-tool around him, but he will now be heading to the Suns.

Kyrie Irving also reacted to the move after his first game with the Dallas Mavericks, which was a win over the LA Clippers, saying he is happy Durant got out of Brooklyn.

"It's not the first time we'll have competition as brothers," Irving said of the Durant trade. "I'm just praying for his happiness and praying for his well-being. We had a lot of conversations throughout the year about what our futures were gonna look like. There was still a level of uncertainty. But we just cared about seeing each other in places that we could thrive... I'm glad he got out of there."

The Western Conference is now stacked with Irving on the Mavericks and Durant on the Suns.
