If there was a team that really wants Russell Westbrook, it's the LA Clippers. Multiple players on the team have already spoken out publicly about wanting him on the team, and now another has also done so.

Nicolas Batum addressed the media at practice where he discussed the potential addition of Westbrook to the Clippers. Even though Westbrook struggled with the Lakers, Nicolas Batum doesn't want that to define him.

I understand the situation he was in the last couple of years," Batum said. "I don't blame him for it, because I was tagged as the worst player in the NBA before I got here. Some situations work for you, some don't. It doesn't define you as a player. It can't reflect his whole career because of what happened the last 18 months."

If Russell Westbrook does join the Clippers, Nicolas Batum will welcome him with open arms.

"If he comes with us, I will welcome him with open arms, Batum said. "He's a great player. He can help our situation, our team is different. Maybe it's the best situation for him. If we do it, I'll be more than happy. Hall of Fame, MVP, can't really say no to that... The Clippers gave me a chance after what happened to me in Charlotte."

Just last week, both Paul George and Marcus Morris expressed support for Westbrook publicly after the Clippers lost to the Milwaukee Bucks.

"We've got enough shooting to surround Russ," George said on Friday. "I'm a big believer in what Russ' work is. He's still got a lot of game."

Marcus Morris was far more upfront, saying point-blank that he wants Russell Westbrook on the Clippers.

"We would accept him with open arms, man," Morris said. "Let him be himself, we need the personality, we need the veterans... I want him to come. I think you, you know, you can't kill a wounded dog, you give him the opportunity to come back, it could be dangerous."

It's going to be very interesting to see what the LA Clippers do with their last roster spot. Especially, because Lawrence Frank essentially stated he did not want a flawed point guard on the team.
