LA Clippers star Kawhi Leonard is one of the league's most dominant players when fully-healthy. Having battled back from an ACL tear, Leonard was playing as good as anybody in the NBA before tearing his meniscus just two games into the 2023 playoffs.

With the Clippers losing three-straight games after Leonard went down, suffering another early exit, analysts around the league have been sharing their thoughts on what's next for LA. NBA legend and former Clippers forward Paul Pierce recently shared his honest thoughts on Kawhi Leonard, saying he would consider retirement if he was Leonard.

"If I’m Kawhi Leonard, I would really consider retirement. This has a lot to do with what his body has been through," Pierce said to Kevin Garnett during a segment of KG Certified.

Pierce added, “Being unreliable has nothing to do with their talent. Kawhi has probably been the most unreliable and unlucky. That’s just unlucky to deal with what he’s had to deal with, injury-wise. Because he’s one of the greatest athletes. If you look at the way he’s put together, he’s strong, in shape. But you have to be good and lucky. It has nothing to do with the weights or the load management. You can be the best athlete in the world but sometimes the injury bug just somehow creeps up on you."
