Patrick Beverley Reacts to Steph Curry's Historic Game 7 vs. Kings
Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry had a historic Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings on Sunday afternoon. Pouring in 50 points, Curry broke Kevin Durant's record for the most points ever in a Game 7. Curry's performance had the entire NBA world buzzing, including former LA Clippers guard Patrick Beverley:
Beverley and Curry are longtime friends, as their relationship precedes their time in the NBA. Beverley detailed this relationship last year, saying, "I got invited to a LeBron James camp, the big Nike LeBron James camp when we was in college. Ironically, my roommate at the time, Stephen Curry. People don't know a lot about that. Me and him, every basketball camp, USA team, he's my roommate. Every single time since we were young. Sick story there."
Amazed by what he saw Curry doing on Sunday afternoon, Beverley shared his reaction on Twitter, like so many others. It was truly one of the greatest playoff performances in NBA history, and it came in a hostile road environment, which is something the Warriors have struggled with all season.
Having eliminated the Kings, the Warriors will now face the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals. The Lakers are not the same team they were at the beginning of this season, and project to be a real challenge for Golden State.
