While Patrick Beverley and Russell Westbrook had an ongoing beef for several years, the two became good friends during their time as teammates on the Los Angeles Lakers. That friendship has continued even with both players leaving the Lakers, as any beef between Beverley and Westbrook seems to have been left entirely in the past.

The Milwaukee Bucks were in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon to face the LA Clippers, and Beverley took a moment to embrace Westbrook during a timeout in the first half:

Speaking with AllClippers after the game, Beverley said, "That’s the homie. Russ the homie. That’s Brodie."

For those who followed the beef between Beverley and Westbrook, it can still be strange to see them on such good terms, but that seems to be what happens when anyone goes from an opponent to a teammate of either one of these players.

Both fierce competitors, Beverley and Westbrook are the type of players that teammates love, but opponents can't stand. While their history is more complicated than this dynamic, it certainly played a part in their beef that's now in the past.

Good friends now, Beverley and Westbrook shared an embrace on Sunday, and remain in touch despite no longer being teammates. Stories like these are always enjoyable, and Beverley made it clear that he and Westbrook are still good friends.
