Paul George Gets Honest on Clippers Trade Deadline
The LA Clippers are in a very interesting situation when it comes to the trade deadline. They definitely don't have to make any moves, but making a move for a power forward is something that could help the team. However, their chemistry is absolutely perfect right now - Paul George agrees.
After the Clippers faced off against the Pelicans on Wednesday night, Paul George was asked about whether or not the Clippers need to make any trades. His answer was a bit different than Kawhi Leonard's, who mentioned wanting a power forward.
“We’re honestly not looking to make any moves," George said. "I don’t think that we are looking in this locker room thinking, ‘Where can we get better?’ We know we have enough to win right now. And so I don’t think anyone is nervous or worried about their position and their spot here. I think we’re in a good place with a great locker room."
If the Clippers made any type of move at the trade deadline, it should be for a little bit more size in a power forward. At the same time, their bench rotation has been fantastic with the emergence of Amir Coffey and it would be hard to say who should lose minutes. It would also be a move specifically for depth, and not necessarily one who would get featured key minutes.
The clock is ticking on the trade deadline, and only time will tell what moves the Clippers actually make.
