Anthony Edwards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are two of the younger players in the NBA, but that hasn't stopped them from giving each other a bit of trash talk. In fact, the two are starting to look like they'll be the fun new rivalry of the future. One person who loves it is Paul George.

On the newest episode of Podcast P, Paul George opened up about the rivalry he's seen between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards, and how much he's loved it.

“I love that rivalry between SGA and Ant," George said. "Those two are gonna be fun two to track and follow through the rest of their careers. Especially with them being in the west."

When it comes to Paul George's own youthful rivalries, some of the guys he thought of were Kawhi Leonard, Gordon Hayward, and Jimmy Butler. Those were some of the specific players he always paid attention to every night.

"I always compared and tried to match up to the guys that was in the same level as far as years in the league and [in the] same position," George said. "So I was looking at Kawhi, Gordon [Hayward] Jimmy [Butler], DeMar [DeRozan]. I would literally watch and check the stats to see how well they played and how they did and that was my driving force going into the game. I wanted to outperform those guys. It was an admiration but at the same time, I was just being competitive."

What's interesting is that Paul George clearly has a current rivalry with Devin Booker, but that name isn't mentioned at all. Nothing is better than an NBA rivalry, and the league is in good hands between Anthony Edwards and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
