Paul George Reacts to Jimmy Butler's Playoff Performance
There's no denying it now, playoff Jimmy Butler is the real deal. After carrying the Miami Heat to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks in five games, he has them tied with the New York Knicks in the second round. His performance has drawn praise around the league, including from Paul George.
On the newest episode of Podcat P, George gave huge props to Jimmy Butler. George likened Butler's current performance to what he did in the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
"It's extremely impressive, extremely," George said. "We saw bits of this Jimmy in the 2020 NBA Playoff run in the bubble, where he was just on another planet. He's showing it now. Jimmy's will, his passion, his competitiveness, he's got a dog in him. This shows who has the dogs. This is where the dogs come out. Jimmy is a dog."
Paul George even went as far as to say that Jimmy Butler is the best player in the NBA Playoffs. While that could be debatable, it's still very high praise from George.
"Don't let him talk his sh*t," George said. "He's going to feed into that, he's going buy into the sh*t he's saying, and then there's no turning back. I applaud Jimmy. Jimmy looks great. He's looking like the best player in the playoffs so far. He's got Miami on another level."
Jimmy Butler missed Game 2 against the New York Knicks because of an ankle injury, but hopefully, he won't be out long. The world needs to see more of what playoff Jimmy Butler is capable of.
