LA Clippers star Paul George missed his first game of the season on Thursday night due to left hip soreness. The Clippers were still able to defeat the Golden State Warriors in his absence, picking up their 6th straight win.

While all signs point to George's hip injury being very minor, the Clippers are still taking a cautious approach with the star forward, understanding how many minutes he has logged to start the year. The Clippers have released their injury report for Saturday night's game against the New York Knicks, and George is again being listed as questionable.

George was questionable for Thursday night's game against the Warriors as well, but was ruled out when Ty Lue addressed the media pregame. It seems possible that George could make his return in this game, as he went through parts of shoot around prior to Thursday's game vs. the Warriors; however, the Clippers will make sure he is 100% ready to go before clearing him to play.

The luxury of acquiring a player like James Harden, is it gives the Clippers another star player to rely on when one of George or Kawhi Leonard has to miss a game. Harden turned in an incredible performance against the Warriors, and will be relied upon again in a similar capacity on Saturday night if George is unable to go.
