During a recent episode of his podcast, former Los Angeles Lakers guard Patrick Beverley said Russell Westbrook told him he wants a ring if the Lakers win it all. Beverley added that he would also want a ring if the Lakers won the title this season, despite being traded at the deadline.

In a recent report for NBA on TNT, Chris Haynes revealed through a source within the Lakers organization that LA would indeed offer championship rings to Westbrook, Beverley, and all players who were on the roster this season if they won the 2023 championship.

Westbrook appeared in 52 games for the Lakers this season before being traded to the Utah Jazz, averaging 15.9 PPG, 7.5 APG, and 6.2 RPG. Westbrook was ultimately bought out by Utah, and signed with the LA Clippers for the remainder of the season.

Westbrook was fantastic for the Clippers, observing their starting point guard role and serving as a team leader both on and off the court. The Clippers were hopeful that this was the year they could make a title run, but injuries to Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were too much to overcome, and LA was eliminated in the first round.

With the Clippers eliminated, Westbrook can reportedly still receive a championship ring this season if the Lakers win it all.
