Report: Reason For Clippers and Celtics Trade Collapse Revealed

The NBA world was shocked when the LA Clippers and Boston Celtics engaged in a trade that would send Malcolm Brogdon to LA. They were even more shocked when the trade completely blew up just a few hours later in the day - a situation that very few have ever seen before.
According to a report from Adam Himmelsbach from the Boston Globe, the trade was abruptly canceled due to Brogdon not having time to complete a physical. There was also the issue of being unsure whether Brogdon needed surgery on his forearm.
Per sources, the Clippers’ reversal on Brogdon was centered on not having time to complete a physical exam.

It’s still unclear whether Brogdon will need surgery on his forearm. But if he does, the belief is that he’d still be ready for the start of next season.
Additionally, Brian Windhorst revealed that Brogdon had a health issue so significant that Boston can't do any type of Brogdon trade in the short term.

If the reports are true, which it feels like that they will be since there are multiple reports, then this would make plenty of sense for the LA Clippers. LA already has multiple injury-prone superstars on the team, and can't afford to have another injury-prone key player.
Had the Clippers completed the trade with Brogdon, then it would have made the team have a huge logjam at the guard position. Considering that they wanted to do the trade originally, it creates the question of if they wanted to trade guards like Eric Gordon and Norman Powell.
Malcolm Brogdon to the LA Clippers may not have been completed, but it's very clear that LA has some moves to make.
