The LA Clippers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon, overcoming a 26-point deficit to steal a victory. Russell Westbrook played 25 minutes, including the final 17 minutes of the game, as the Clippers needed everything that he was bringing on both ends of the court.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Westbrook was asked first about his defense down the stretch, and said, "All year long I’ve been depending on my defense. Holding people and stopping people when the time is needed. Tonight was one of those nights we needed to get stops to close the game and close the gap. I thought we did a good job of that as a team."

Westbrook said there was never a doubt in his mind that the Clippers could come back in this game, saying, "Never give in, never quit. Always find ways to keep battling. You never know, one possession, one thing could turn the game around... I just kept telling our guys to keep staying with it, keep fighting, keep getting stops, and tonight was a night where we stuck with it and had each other's back."

This was an impressive win for the Clippers, as they were able to overcome a poor start to secure a solid victory over Cleveland. The Clippers' magic number to clinch a playoff spot is down to one.
