WATCH: Paul George and Brandon Miller Share Moment After Clippers vs. Hornets
The LA Clippers defeated the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday evening behind a massive game from Paul George. Finishing with a season-high 41 points, George led the Clippers over Charlotte for their third-straight win and first three-game winning streak since early-February.
George was matched up with rookie wing Brandon Miller for much of the night, who has been outspoken about looking up to the Clippers star. The two talented forwards shared a special moment after the game, jersey swapping after a hard-fought battle:
Miller had a solid showing himself, finishing with 22 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists to keep his team in the game. As previously mentioned, Miller has been very outspoken about how much he looks up to George, which is something the Clippers star appreciates.
Having Miller on his podcast earlier this year, George has shown love to the young forward, and does not take for granted the opportunity to pour into the next generation. One of the most popular players in the league among the next generation, George is appreciative of the support he has from Miller and others.
For the Clippers, this was a solid win despite Charlotte's poor record. Understanding that there is still room for improvement, the Clippers need to make some strides defensively between now and the end of the season, but picking up wins amid those struggles is always encouraging.
