DeMar DeRozan is preparing to hit free agency this summer after three seasons with the Chicago Bulls. The 34-year-old guard was a guest on Wednesday's episode of Run It Back and expressed the desired to re-sign with Chicago.

When asked about entering free agency, DeRozan said he'd like to stay with the Bulls.

"It's definitely somewhere I'd like to return to," DeRozan said. "... The city is great, I love the city, the organization been great, it's definitely a place I would love to return to and take care of unfinished business."

DeRozan finished the 2023-24 season averaging 24.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 37.8 minutes per game. The 34-year-old also shot 48.0% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.

Despite his solid numbers, the Bulls had a bad season. They finished 39–43 and wound up in the play-in tournament as the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference. Chicago won its first game against the Atlanta Hawks but was eliminated in the game for the eight seed, losing 112–91 to the Miami Heat.

The six-time All-Star is probably in line for his final payday this offseason given his age. NBC Sports Chicago's K.C. Johnson reported the Bulls offered DeRozan a two-year deal worth $80 million. That seems to be in the right range, but he is likely looking for a longer deal.

Chicago is likely looking to trade Zach LaVine and bring back DeRozan and restricted free agent Patrick Williams. The veteran guard may get his wish and return to finish his business with the Bulls.
