We're nearing the end of the 2023-24 NBA season, so all eyes are on the current potentially generational rookie class in the short term as they continue to impact their respective teams. However, it's not too early to begin looking ahead at next summer's group of prospects.
The 2024 NBA Draft isn't projected to be as talented, but there's still a ton of depth with the amount of quality incoming freshman and returning college players. It's a class that should produce quite a few first-round picks outside of college competition. Between the G League Ignite program, the NBL Next Stars program and other international avenues, there could be double-digit prospects that are selected in the first 30 picks that don't come from the college level.
While it's somewhat early in the draft cycle, with the 2024 NBA Draft not taking place for roughly three months, the Draft Digest team has already been covering this class for more than two years. As such, we've released our ongoing big board based on that analysis and scouting.
Between now and June's event, expect even more coverage of these prospects than has been produced to date, along with updated big boards and mock drafts along the way.
