Draft Summary
It's still unclear exactly why the Washington Wizards had to trade up a spot to land Bilal Coulibaly, but all signs pointed to the Pacers selecting Jarace Walker either way. From there, they landed one of the most underrated prospects in this class with Ben Sheppard, who should emerge as an productive, floor spacing guard. In the second round, Indiana went with two more guards, so the rotation is getting somewhat clogged in that respect.
The Pacers certainly didn't have a poor draft, but the positional fits are interesting. Regardless, they landed their power forward of the future who should immediately become a cornerstone piece. If Indiana holds onto its key veterans instead of trading them, there's a real chance they make the postseaon in the 2022-23 campaign.
