Draft Summary
The Grizzlies just landed former Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart in a blockbuster deal involving a few future firsts, so they likely care not for our D-plus ranking of their 2023 NBA Draft. But for a team looking to contend next season, we don't love their late-second selections.
Jackson, the youngest player in the draft, is a project of massive proportions. And Biberovic is likely to be a draft-and-stash.
Memphis has proved to use it's G League effectively in recent years, so Jackson's outlook isn't all bad. But there were some immediate contributors and defensive specialists to swing on at those selections, and Memphis opted for some out-there picks.
