2023 NBA Draft: Philadelphia 76ers Official Selections and Draft Grades
Entering the 2023 NBA Draft, the Philadelphia 76ers were without a single selection. Their first-round pick was traded away when trading for James Harden and their second rounder was forfeited due to the NBA determining tampering occurred during the process of acquiring PJ Tucker and Danuel House last summer. Regardless, trading into any draft is always a possibility, even for a team like the Sixers that don't have a ton of future draft capital to bargain with.

Draft Summary
While several teams that didn't have picks entering Thursday night ended up trading into the second round, Philadelphia opted not to. There's quite a few pivotal decisions the franchise needs to make in the coming months, so the acquiring pick on the night of the draft would have been a no-brainer. It's all about maintaining flexibility and ensuring the Sixers have a contending roster at the start of next season.
With that in mind, the Sixers were extremely active on the undrafted free agent market, bringing in several players that could legitimately make the roster in Terquavion Smith, Ricky Council IV and Azuolas Tubelis. They may not be able to contribute immediately, but one or two could prove to be much needed depth during the course of the season.
