2023 NBA Draft: Phoenix Suns Official Selections and Draft Grades

Who did the Phoenix Suns select in the 2023 NBA Draft?

After acquiring Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in two blockbuster moves over the past several months, the Phoenix Suns have found themselves in the headlines more often than not.

But on Thursday, they had just one second round selection at their disposal in the 2023 NBA Draft.

With Durant, Beal and longtime franchise star Devin Booker, the Suns will be at the top of the contenders list heading into the season. But with nearly all of their money tied into their newest trio, Phoenix looked to the draft to put the finishing touches on their roster for 2023-24.

Draft Summary

After selecting only one prospect during this year's draft, and in the 50's no less, Phoenix has earned the grade of D.

But if we were grading their offseason as a whole, primarily landing three-time All-Star Bradley Beal for the aging Chris Paul and a plethora of seconds and swaps, they'd likely be getting an A. And the 6-foot-8 former Dayton Flyer is a fine swing pick in the late-second round.

And with a new trio of Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Beal, on top of a solid piece in Ayton, we doubt the Suns are complaining about their draft grade.

They own very few draft assets for the rest of the decade, so they've pushed all their chips to the middle in hopes of winning a coveted Finals in the next few years.
