2023 NBA Draft: Utah Jazz Official Selections and Draft Grades
Utah came into draft night 2023 as one of the more-equipped teams in terms of draft assets.
They owned one top-ten pick, acquired via their own fortune in the 2022-23 regular season, a mid-first pick from Minnesota via the Rudy Gobert trade and a late-first selection acquired from the Sixers via the Nets.
With those assets, along with players like All-Star Lauri Markkanen, one of the top 2022 rookies in Walker Kessler, Ochai Agbaji and more, Utah has established themselves well for the future.
Here’s how the Jazz’ draft unfolded:

Draft Summary
Utah entered the 2023 NBA Draft with three first round selections, and likely left with one of the best hauls of the night.
At No. 9 they took a shot on a high-floor three-and-D player to pair with Lauri Markkanen in the frontcourt, and with their two non-lottery first rounders took shots on potential hyper-scorers with limitless potential.
George and Sensabaugh are both highly-touted scorers who don't use athleticism to thrive, similarly to former Utah star Donovan Mitchell. Even if both don't work out, they're bound to find legitimate scoring in one.
George and Sensabaugh were both linked to lottery teams at one time or another throughout the cycle, so landing them at No. 16 and No. 28 could prove to be a steal.
