2024 NBA Draft will Offer Newly Rebuilding Teams Solid Pieces

There are going to be a number of NBA teams looking to essentially start anew in the 2023-24 season.
The Portland Trail Blazers, with Damian Lillard having officially requested a trade, are set to look towards a future headlined by Scoot Henderson, Shaedon Sharpe and more. After having offloaded Bradley Beal and Kristaps Porzignis, the Washington Wizards are likely staring down the barrel of a multi-year rebuild. And teams like Charlotte, Orlando, Detroit, Utah and more, are either amidst their own or in tow.
But with the 2024 NBA Draft being regarded as a relatively “weak” draft in comparison, some fanbases already seem to be looking towards 2025 or even 2026.
I’m here to tell you: the 2024 NBA Draft will yield good players (yes, All-Stars and potentially even All-NBAers). It’s just about finding them.
Despite not having a consensus No. 1-type talent, the 2024 draft is chock full of great basketball players.
The forwards, highlighted by the likes of Ron Holland, Cody Williams, Justin Edwards and more, will offer NBA teams plenty of versatility to infuse into their teams.
Guards like USC’s Isaiah Collier and UConn’s Stephon Castle will be more than capable of handling lead duties in the big leagues down the line.
There’s also a variety of extremely unique players who could blossom into stars with the right developmental track, those being Ignite wing Matas Buzelis, Perth forward Zaccharie Risacher and bigs like Alex Sarr, Izan Alamansa and Aday Mara.
Identifying which players can make an impact at the next level might be slightly tougher this year than in draft’s past. But suffice to say, the 2024 class will be chock full of intriguing players who offer interesting fits for NBA squads. And those who do their due diligence will come away a better team.
