2024 NBA Draft Superlatives: Top Scorers

The 2024 NBA Draft is still ways away and even the college season is still a couple months out. It’s never too late to dive into some draft superlatives. Who are the top three scorers in the draft?

Every NBA team could use an elite scorer that has the ability to take control of games with their ability to score a bunch of points in a very quick amount of time. We have seen players change games with their elite scoring ability with guys like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, James Harden and many more. Here are the top three scorers that are eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft.

Matas Buzelis | Ignite

Matas Buzelis, G League Ignite

Matas Buzelis is a 6-foot-10 wing prospect that has arguably the highest ceiling in the 2024 NBA Draft. He is a talented scoring wing that has the ability to score at all three levels effectively. The future star has the ability to finish with either hand around the rim, is a tough shot-maker off the dribble and can make jumpers off the catch. The potential number one pick is still figuring out where he’s best at as a scorer but the potential is there for him to be a 20-plus point per game in the NBA.

DJ Wagner | Kentucky

DJ Wagner, Kentucky Wildcats

DJ Wagner is one of the top scoring combo guards eligible for the 2024 NBA Draft. The Kentucky guard will have a big workload offensively for the Wildcats due to his shot-making ability, quickness off the dribble and scoring instincts. Wagner has improved his 3-point shooting and finishing over the last few years and has now transformed himself into a true three level scorer. We should expect some big time games from Wagner throughout the season as he has the ability to get hot extremely fast and can get 20 points before you even blink.

Ja’Kobe Walter | Baylor

Ja'Kobe Walter, Baylor Bears

Ja’Kobe Walter is coming off a GIECO National Championship with Link Academy and was the best player on that roster due to his elite three level scoring ability. Walter is a pure bucket getter that can score it at all three levels very efficiently and effectively. The 6-foot-5 wing will be heading to Baylor this upcoming season and will be able to fill the shoes of the former Baylor guard, Keyonte George. Walter’s scoring ability should be able to shine under Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears.
